Isn't it Time to Inject a Proper Cash Flow into Your Practice?

Atlantis Health plan has frozen payment on any claims with dates of service prior to 9/1/2010. Due to financial difficulties the company had to seek an outsider to provider financial support. They now state they have found someone to give them a capital injection but need to settle with providers on claims prior to 9/1/10. All newer claims are being paid in a normal manner. Atlantis is mailing out offers to physicians stating they will pay set amounts to settle all open claims with dates of service prior to 9/1/10 and need to do so in order to continue to run.

What Should I do?

  • Read the MLN from Medicare for more details available here
  • Check your claims for warning messages
  • Check the PECOS listing available here for any new referring doctors you plan to use.
